Who we are
Bible Garden is a free, open-source app for reading and listening to the Bible in several languages. It was created and is run by Maria Novikova. Articles on this site are signed "Bible Garden team".
How the articles are prepared
We prepare the articles with the help of AI: it helps gather material and write a draft. Before publication, Maria proofreads and approves every article.
The English, Russian and Ukrainian versions of an article are not translations of each other. Each one uses the Bible translations, narrators and examples that make sense to a reader of that language.
Quotes and facts
- Bible quotes come from translations available in the app, and every quote names its translation: in English — the Berean Standard Bible (BSB) and the World English Bible (WEB); in Russian — the Synodal translation and the Kulakov translation; in Ukrainian — the Khomenko translation and the New Ukrainian Translation (NPU). When an article quotes a translation the app does not have (for example, the KJV for comparison), we name it and say that it is not in the app.
- We describe only what the app already does. If a feature is missing, we say so.
